She nodded slightly, puffing out her cheeks. “Why do I always get tall people blocking me? It’s unfair!”
“Of course, you’ve got good taste.” She chuckled as she approached her girlfriend, slipping her arms around her waist as she moved behind her, resting her chin on the girl’s free shoulder. “I doubt we’ll gain any weight at all. And if we do it’ll just be muscle, probably.” She let out a sigh, pursing her lips, her gaze locked on Wendy’s face.
“I doubt my taste is that good– I mean, I’m stuck wi–” she stopped talking in the middle of her sentence, mouthing “with you” after as the phone was answered. She didn’t need random strangers to know about her relationship with her fellow Red Velvet member, she’d rather not ruin their group’s image this early - or not again. She quickly placed her order, ending the call after leaving the location of their apartment building before resting back against her girlfriend. “It’ll be here soon enough~.”
“Anything, huh?” She paused, letting her eyes scan over the list before poking at one of the items on the menu. “That one.” Seulgi smiled to herself, already starting to feel hungry, handing the device back to the other girl. “I’m sure manager oppa can’t complain. It’s not like we’re getting expensive food, right? We work out enough to get a break from dieting sometimes.” She gave a firm nod.
She smiled brightly as she tilted her head before quickly nodding. “Yes! That’s what I was thinking..” She flipped through the numbers in her phone, happily dialling the number for pizza delivery. “Even if they start whining… It’s not like we’ll suddenly put on like… five kilos or something, right?” She murmured the question more to herself than to her girlfriend, quietly waiting for the phone to be answered.
Allowing the other girl to escape her grip, she watched as Wendy got up, her mouth falling open once again as she listened to her. “Pizza?” Her gaze darted around the room, checking if anyone else might’ve heard of the plan, though it appeared the others weren’t around. “Sure, why not? Seems like a great plan.” She nodded, subconsciously licking her lips as she got up as well.
With a devious twinkle in her eyes, Wendy reached for her phone, quickly opening the menu of a local pizzeria. She scrolled through the list, grinning quietly before handing the device to her girlfriend. “Pick anything.. I’ll make manager oppa pay for it~.” She laughed softly, stretching her arms above her head. “But don’t tell anyone– because pizza is not on the diet list-.”
Her eyebrows raise, confusion visible on her face. “You were talking to me? I mean… before my rude comment?” She frowns, letting out a sigh as her lips form a light pout. “I’m really sorry. I’ll play some other time. And I’ll play less. It really does mess me up, apparently.”
“Yah, I was just kidding, silly..” She grinned happily, squirming out of the older’s embrace before getting up. “I was wondering if you wanna go get pizza with me, though.” She quickly looked around. “Pizza no one else’ll have to know about, that is.”
“I know. I shouldn’t have.” She presses her lips together before allowing them to curl up into a small smile in response to the kiss. “I’m sorry, baby… I think I’ve been playing too long. I needed a break.” As if to emphasize her words, she uses one hand to shove the controller a little further away before restoring the embrace.
“I’m pretty sure you were playing for too long. I haven’t gotten a word through in like… forever?” She dramatically flailed about for a few moments, laughing softly to herself. “The game’s not going anywhere… you can always play more later..”
“That’s— That’s not what I meant! Of course you’re more important…” She sighs, wrapping her arms around her girlfriend, giving her a gentle squeeze to reassure her. “You know how I get sometimes with video games. I’m sorry I get so swallowed up in them.”
“But that’s what you said–” She pouted, pressing a light kiss to her girlfriend’s cheek. “You’re a meanie when you’re playing games… Why do you let these things get to you so quickly?”
Giving a small nod, Seulgi put the controller down next to her. Zelda would have to wait. Hopefully nobody would turn the game off in the meanwhile. “That’s true.” She paused for a moment, pressing her lips together before continuing. “Sorry about that. You’re more important than a video game, of course.”
“That’s not what you said earlier…” She pouted, snuggling up to the other with a soft sigh. “I’m sorry I’m not a 2D character in some video game…” She stuck out her tongue. “Wait, no. Actually, screw that, I’m not sorry.”
Her mind taking a moment to process her girlfriend’s threat, Seulgi’s gaze turned to the girl currently occupying her lap. Staying frozen for a moment, her mouth hanging open, she quickly pressed the start button, pausing the game. “… Can I finish it later?” She asked meekly, not wanting to further irritate Wendy.
Wendy’s face cleared up as she noticed the - ridiculous - expression on Seulgi’s face, lips curling up into a bright smile. Her words had hit their target. “Hmm… maybe. I mean– you can always play when I’m sleeping, right?” Her head tilted, pursing out her lips before nudging her girlfriend’s nose with her own.
Her eyes flickered to the other girl for a moment, craning her neck to see the TV screen. “But— It’s a boss fight!” She whined, her bottom lip jutting out as she attempted to keep playing the video game.
She whined. Her struggle to successfully block her girlfriend’s view from the game being one of the few moments in which she wished she was maybe just a little taller. “I’ll turn into a super boss fight if you continue playing, though.” She huffed, wrapping her arms around the others waist tightly. “But eh, your risk to take.
