Her eyebrows raised as she felt the weight of the younger leaning against her, looking at the girl as she spoke, her lips curling into a smile in reaction to Wendy’s words. “You like it, huh? Maybe I should do it more often then.” A chuckle escaped her lips after her answer, her attention going to the chocolate that was handed to her. “Really? With all your heart? Should I be worried?” Seulgi spoke, squinting at the other female, holding this position for a few seconds before laughing. “I’m kidding. Thank you, Wendy.” She said, grinning at the other before taking a much too large sip. “Ah—! Hot!” She yelped, sticking out her burnt tongue.
“No. I’ll like it this one time. On other times, that sweater is my property and it’s only to be worn by actual Canadians!” She stuck out her tongue once again, grinning. “But if you want to, I can ask my parents to send a Canadian sweater for you? They probably won’t mind.. And you can wear it whenever you’re cold and think of the cold country I came from.” She smiled lightly as she blew cool air into her mug again, the steam colliding against her face. But when Seulgi spoke, her expression darkened slightly. “Wow, I make you a nice drink and you treat me like this? I even gave you mini marshmallows from my personal collection..” Her lower lip jutted into a pout. She knew Seulgi was kidding, she felt obligated to play along. When the older yelped, Wendy laughed secretly before looking up at her. “Hah. That’s what you get for being a meanie! Karma strikes right away!”
Noticing her group mate’s humoured expression, she raised an eyebrow. “It is warm but— Ahh, never mind..” She muttered the last part to herself as she watched the other run off, narrowing her eyes once she heard the distant sound of Wendy’s laughter. Seulgi took a glance at the sweater, briefly considering taking it off, eventually deciding possibly looking silly was outweighed by not wanting to be cold. Sighing to herself, the girl moved out of the bedroom, following the smell of hot chocolate to the couch, joining the other girl as she sat down on it. “… I don’t care if I look stupid. I’m warm. That’s all that matters.” She spoke after staying silent for a moment, looking away, trying to hide the fact she was obviously a little flustered.
Wendy crossed her legs before shifting, comfortably snuggling up to the older the moment Seulgi joined her. “You don’t look stupid.. It’s just funny to me to see you dressed like a Canadian.. I like it.” She smiled, leaning forward to grab both mugs before handing the chocolate to Seulgi. “Here~ I prepared it with all my heart so you’d be warm again! Tho this isn’t what you’d drink as a Canadian, but I’ll forgive you this time~.” She chuckled, blowing into her tea ever so lightly.
She pursed her lips as she rummaged through the clothes in the bedroom, huffing to herself when finding nothing warmer amongst her own clothes. About to get up and go back to find Wendy and inform her of her failure to find something else to keep her warm, she paused, her gaze fixed upon a large red maple leaf, laying amongst a different collection of clothes. Grinning to herself, Seulgi grabbed the sweater with the large Canadian symbol, switching it with the sweater she had on at the moment, turning around when she heard the younger’s voice behind her. “Sounds good.” She said, smiling as she continued, gesturing at the slightly loose fitting sweater. “Is this better?”
She giggled softly upon seeing Seulgi in her most chauvinistic sweater, trying to contain an actual fit of laughter. “You look… interesting.. But hey, at least my sweater is really warm!” She bit her inner lip, quickly rushing back to the kitchen, the laughing as soon as she arrived. She covered her mouth with one of her hands, rushing to prepare the drinks once her laughter calmed down. She quickly poured the liquids in two mugs, adding small marshmallows to the chocolate before preparing her tea. Wendy then quickly moved the mugs to the table, sitting down on the couch afterwards before looking at the door, waiting for Seulgi to come join her.
“Don’t feel like it. This is— Hey!” Her lower lip jutted forward, forming a pout once the younger had successfully escaped her embrace. The pout fading just a bit as she listened to the other, she reached for her once she started moving away, being too late to stop her. “But— … I don’t think I have anything warmer…” Seulgi muttered the last part to herself, realizing Wendy wouldn’t hear her anyway. She sighed, heading towards the bedroom to try and find some other clothes.
She giggled as she dashed through the kitchen, happily preparing the hot chocolate for her group mate. As she waited, she slowly made tea for herself, humming a song before rushing off, trying to find Seulgi once more. “Yah, Seulgi?” She poked her head into the bedroom, tilting her head, “Do you want little marshmallows or something with your hot chocolate?”
Squeezing the other girl close, trying to still her, she laughed. “Wendy- Stop moving! I’m not letting you go! I need the warmth, have some mercy, will you?” She chuckled, loosening her grip after a few seconds, giving the younger some space to breath. “Seriously, you should buy me those gloves though. Maybe I’ll stop hogging your warmth then? Maybe I’ll even remember that I should run around with you next time there’s snow.”
“You can hide in your bed with like twenty blankets or something! That’s a lot warmer than I am!” She pouted, ducking out of Seulgi’s arms when the older let her go only slightly. “I’ll make you hot chocolate milk first.. Maybe get you gloves some other time. Please go put on warmer clothes, okay?” She tilted her head to the side, not awaiting Seulgi’s reply before rushing to the kitchen unit.
“I didn’t think I would need them! I lost my old pair, alright?" Her brow furrowed for a moment when her hands were released, her face relaxing once the other girl grabbed them again, a small smirk pulling at her lips. "Oh, so Canadians aren’t actually immune to the cold? Could’ve fooled me with the way you were running around in the snow.” She chuckled, her gaze fixing on the other girl, the smirk disappearing slowly as she stayed quiet, wondering if she had said something wrong, until Wendy spoke again. “… Alright. I’m done with you.” Seulgi replied, pulling her hands out of the younger’s grip, instead stepping closer and wrapping her arms around her, holding her close. “Give me all your warmth.”
“Who loses their gloves? Gloves are important!” She whined, flailing her arms slightly. “I’m gonna buy new gloves for you soon. Hah. So you can pretend to be a Canadian. We never go anywhere without gloves. Unlike you.” She stuck out her tongue teasingly, giggling happily after that. “That’s exactly why I stayed warm. I ran. It warms up your body a lot when it’s cold. That’s the Canadian way. Well… that.. and gloves.” She squealed when Seulgi suddenly hugged her, quickly squirming in the other’s arms. “Why are you done with me? You didn’t dress warm enough, let me keep my warmth please!”
Her gaze falling upon the other’s smile, Seulgi let out a soft, short sigh. Even if she was absolutely freezing, no matter how many clothes she tried to protect herself with, somehow it had been worth it. Seeing Wendy play around in the cold like she had was rewarding enough for her to know that if the other female actually did invite her along on another such trip, she would come along. “Me. I d-don’t own a pair of gloves. I told you I don’t b-but you wouldn’t even lend me yours.” She replied to Wendy’s words, pushing her lower lip forward, forming a pout, before she continued in a hushed tone. “And I am d-dressed warm..” She gestured lightly at her attire, consisting of jeans, fuzzy boots and a sweater which hid a long sleeved t-shirt from view.
“Why don’t you own a pair of gloves?! Who doesn’t own a pair of gloves. That’s so weird, wow.” She pouted, arms crossing over her chest after she shortly let go of Seulgi’s hands, quickly grabbing them again afterwards. “Of course I didn’t lend you mine, I needed them myself.. I might be Canadian, but I’m not actually immune to the cold.” Cheeks blew up shortly as she looked up at Seulgi, blinking multiple times before actually speaking once again. “You should’ve dressed up warmer, then. Heh.”
❅ — Our muses are trying to warm up after spending a day outside in the snow.
“R-remind me never to l-let you drag me along on one of your ‘yay Canada’ m-moments again.” Seulgi stuttered through her chattering teeth as she entered the dorm with her group mate, who she thought somehow seemed less affected by the cold. After closing the door behind them, she rubbed her hands together, trying to create some warmth, before her eyes fell upon the slightly younger girl’s hands, a playful grin managing to form regardless of her teeth still chattering. Taking Wendy’s hands into her own, Seulgi looked at the girl’s face as she spoke. “Don’t e-even try to get out of this one. It’s y-your fault I’m this cold. You owe me some warmth to leech off of.”
Wendy was more than happy when she entered the dorm again, not because she was glad to be inside, but more so because she got to play in the snow like she used to do a lot when she was younger. She slid off her jacket, throwing it into a corner before taking off her gloves and throwing them after it. “You know I’ll remind you to come on more ‘Yay Canada’ trips with me, rather than tell you to not come, right?” She smiled brightly, evidently entertained by the other’s reaction to mere snow. “I told you to dress warm, it’s not my fault you didn’t listen to me!” She huffed lightly, her hands rubbing against Seulgi’s when the slightly older had grabbed them. “Who doesn’t own a pair of gloves, Seulgi, really?"
