The small television perched onto one of the walls of the common room in the broadcasting station came to life with the news of several online comments going too far and resulting in, well–something that could only be news worthy. The atmosphere of the room had died down from its earlier liveliness and he took refuge next to the coffee bar so as to hide himself from any potential conversation that would surround the topic of the news. He held a cooling full cup of coffee in one hand, the other rested on the surface of the counter so he could keep himself up whilst listening to the details of the story.

It was only at the sound of the unfamiliar voice that he turned away from the news and to the other idol, his expression consciously brightening from the mien that had resulted from the depressing atmosphere. The bridge of his nose wrinkled slightly in response to her question and he nodded, running his tongue across his bottom lip as he sighed. “It’s scary, how harsh they can be without knowing someone’s situation…” A few moments of silence had passed before he cleared his throat and straightened from his previous position. “But being in an industry like this, it almost comes with the job. Ah, focusing on something like this too long will only darken the entire country.” He sighed briefly and set down his coffee. “Do you have a performance here today?”

Wendy had been hogged into a corner with Irene, who had been wanting to come back to the station to just to watch BoA perform. It made sense, BoA was basically the idol for her entire group and from what she’d noticed, members of other groups under her company would come visit more often to support them, even if they didn’t have to perform themselves. The rehearsals for the performing artists had ended, the common room was filled with seniors. Wendy wanted to turn to Irene to ask her leader whether she wanted to go look for BoA or not, but the leader had already left her alone.

Wendy sighed and made her way over to her to the drinks, getting a cup of warm tea for herself before following everyone else’s gaze to the TV after noticing dropping expressions. The topic discussed hit something within her, and she didn’t realize she spoke her thoughts out loud until Doojoon turned towards her, replying to the words she’d apparently spoken out. “I know it comes with the job, but… Why do they feel the strong urge to always take everything out of context?” Her head tilted slightly as she sipped her drink, somewhat awkwardly looking around in an attempt to spot either Irene or BoA, but to no avail. She still often felt nervous talking about seniors and she was more than glad when he seemed to change the subject. “Ah, no, no.. We’ve recently finished our promotions for Ice Cream Cake… But Irene unnie wanted to go support BoA.. I offered to accompany her because I didn’t want her to go alone, so here I am. Are you performing?”
